THE TOLTEC Art Contest and Book Release

I am an award winning playwright and I have finished my first book, THE TOLTEC.  I will be releasing the book by single chapters here exclusively on Deviantart!  Each chapter release will come with a contest with prizes!  The winning pieces of art will be featured and promoted with the online book.

I'm looking for artists that will read the chapter and create art work inspired by the posted chapter.

  1st PRIZE $150 in Deviantart Points that can be taken out as dollars!

  2nd PRIZE a 1 Year Deviantart Premiere Membership and the DA Tee Shirt of your choice!

A panel of Judges will be announced with each chapter. 

THE TOLTEC is a story told through the eyes of a 23 year old Aztec Princess living in todays modern world.  That's right, the Aztec Royal Court is alive, well and living in secrecy in the mansions of Malibu.  Their lives and culture are hidden and safe until the arrival of two spaceships and the beings inside, the creators of ancient Aztecs want answers on why they are no longer in charge and are in hiding.

Ancient Civilizations and their disappearance have always interest me.  I was driving on the Pacific Coast Highway and wondered who lived in all these giant oceanfront houses that looked empty.  Someone must live there, but they always appeared to be empty from the road, never a sign of life.  That's when I did the creative writing exercise "WHAT IF?"  It's a standard tool taught in class and used by writers to ask questions that start with the words "WHAT IF?"  My question was "What if the Aztecs or Mayans were here and living in Malibu?  What would it be like?"  All I can say is the answers that came back contained secret societies, hidden treasures, inquisitive outsiders and mythical ancient tribal legends!
